Ronald Wilson Reagan (February 6, 1911 – June 5, 2004)
was the 40th President of the United States (1981–1989) and the 33rd Governor of California (1967–1975). Reagan was born in Tampico in Whiteside County, Illinois, reared in Dixon in Lee County, Illinois, and educated at Eureka College in Eureka, Illinois.

His burial site is inscribed with the words he delivered at the opening of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library: "I know in my heart that man is good, that what is right will always eventually triumph and that there is purpose and worth to each and every life.
